BIG ALMATY LAKE

  Big Almaty Lake, 30km south of Almaty, is like a shining mirror reflecting the sky and mountains on its surface, surrounded on all sides by magnificent mountain peaks. The lake changes colour depending on the season, from pale green to turquoise blue. This is a very good place for picnic, hiking or intensive trekking. Good spot to start your trekking route to Issyk-Kul lake or Chimbulak.
