  Kazakh folk music reflects nomadic lifestyle of people telling you about everyday life, sorrows and hapiness of Kazakhs in it's melodies.

  Among traditional musical instrumets of Kazakhs dombra would be most popular. This two-string instrument played by professional akyn (improviser) produces unforgettable asian melodies that have almost nothing to be compared to. Construction of dombra varies from one region to another but prncipe of playing and profeesionalism of musicians is equal.

  Almaty Musical Instruments Museum located on the edge of Panfilov park has a big nice collection of traditional instruments and everybody is welcome to enjoy their look and records.
